Green is a humanoid robot created by Sberbank engineers, designed as Russia’s first anthropomorphic robot with embedded artificial intelligence. It was introduced at the AI Journey International Conference (Nov 19–21, 2025) in Moscow, where it greeted President Vladimir Putin and performed a dance routine. The robot is powered by Sber’s GigaChat large language model and Yandex’s Alice AI generative model, enabling it to interact naturally with humans.

Green’s debut was both symbolic and theatrical. The robot introduced itself to Putin with the words: “My name is Green. I am the first Russian humanoid robot with embodied artificial intelligence. This means that I am not just a program on the screen but the physical embodiment of technologies.”  

 

Its dance performance—set to electronic pop music—was broadcast widely, with Putin calling it “very beautiful” before moving on. The demonstration highlighted Russia’s ambition to showcase domestic AI and robotics capabilities, especially after another Russian robot (AIDOL) had stumbled publicly days earlier.  

 

Green is intended as a platform for embodied AI research, combining natural language interaction, motor control, and expressive performance. Sberbank emphasized that its software will be constantly upgraded, positioning Green as a living showcase of Russia’s AI ecosystem.
