EDITORIAL:

 

KAI is one of the most technically ambitious humanoids ever unveiled. Its 115‑DoF architecture far exceeds the 20–45 DoF typical of contemporary humanoids, enabling human‑like flexibility, including deep torso bending, wide shoulder articulation, and natural neck rotation.  

 

The robot’s 36‑DoF hands (22 active + 14 passive joints) allow delicate manipulation, while the 18,000‑point tactile skin enables haptic‑aware interaction, detecting forces as light as 0.1 newtons.
