Description

SUMMARY:

O-ID Modular is O-ID’s modular industrial humanoid platform, standing 172 cm tall and weighing 70 kg, featuring 30 degrees of freedom, a 16 kg payload, a holonomic mobile base, and a fully modular architecture with 9+ swappable modules.

Designed for 24/7 operation, the robot is intended for manufacturing, logistics, inspection, and industrial automation applications.

EDITORIAL:

O-ID Modular takes a different approach from most humanoid robots. Rather than focusing on bipedal locomotion, the platform prioritizes modularity, serviceability, and industrial uptime.

Every major subsystem is designed around interchangeable modules, allowing the robot to be configured, repaired, and customized rapidly.

Built in Japan, the robot targets real-world industrial environments where reliability, maintenance efficiency, and deployment flexibility matter more than human-like movement.

Its modular architecture enables different end-effectors and configurations to be adapted for a variety of industrial tasks.

Three things define O-ID Modular:

1. Modular architecture — a humanoid platform built around 9+ swappable modules for rapid servicing and customization.
2. Industrial deployment focus — designed for assembly, logistics, inspection, packing, and warehouse operations.
3. Continuous operation philosophy — engineered with 24/7 uptime as a core design objective.

O-ID Modular is not intended as a research platform or consumer robot. It is an industrial automation system focused on flexibility, maintainability, and scalable deployment.
